Gencon Head Collar – Labrador owner review

Our 1 year old Labrador has always been a handful and taking him for walks is fine, until he sees other people or dogs, then he gets exited and jumps up at us and other walkers. I didn’t want a product that could hurt or dog which ruled out devices that choke them. The Gencon head collar has been getting good reviews and I also use a Flexi lead which would clip to the head collar. Also at the current price I decided to make the purchase as it wasn’t a huge investment. The collar arrived in good order and it fitted over the dog’s head well. As the description suggested it looked comfortable once fitted and he didn’t try to struggle free. I took the dog out for a walk that afternoon and was instantly impressed at how it controlled the dog. Even when other walkers came close the sensation of it tightening around the head, instantly made him back off.

I’ve been using the product 2 to 3 times a day for the last month and it is still working well. The Gencon head collar is still in good condition and withstood being washed after a particularly muddy walk.
